Howdy!
My name is Kathryn and I live in the great state of Texas. I completed my Child Life Internship in the fall of 2016 at CoxHealth Dee Ann White Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri! I learned more than I could have ever begun to imagine, worked with an outstanding Child Life team and have returned to Texas to become a Certified Child Life Specialist.
My upbringing is rooted in the service for others, and volunteering is something I am passionate about. Whether it’s cleaning toys at the local children’s hospital to packing shoeboxes of simple gifts for children in far away lands, I truly enjoy giving back to my community and making the world a little more joyful.
A bit of background for the journey; I am a Cum Laude graduate of Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Child Development with emphasis in Child Life. While in school I also received my Minor in Music with emphasis in Voice. I am a dedicated professional soprano with over 11 years of private voice lessons and 20 years of choral experience.
